My Story

Francis Perez is a graduating Journalism student at the University of Santo Tomas. Earlier this year, he and his friends started the Saint Joseph Podcast, which aims to promote and bring the story of the Man behind Jesus to the digital platform for all ages through roundtable discussions that are relevant to the Catholic youth. The podcast featured speakers including Filipino renowned economist Dr. Bernardo Villegas, Korean host and podcaster Ms. Sam Oh and GIGIL Founding Partner Mr. Badong Abesamis.

Alongside, Francis volunteers as the Social Media Manager for Universitas Foundation and Sarangani Study Center where he volunteers to give talks on principled leadership and catechism classes for kids. Incorporated in 2018, Universitas forms leaders with the principles of Competence, Character and Conscience through local and international programs for a holistic development. Meanwhile, for more than 35 years, Sarangani continues to offers supplemental training to high school and university students to help them become better students, family members, and citizens.

Francis previously volunteered as a youth mentor of his alma mater PAREF Northfield School for Boys and as a counselor for FORGE Summer Camp where he gave similar talks and workshops on music and video editing. During his high school days, he was the editor-in-chief of FORTIBUS and Ang Kumpit, both official student publications of his alma mater. He helped out in the boys club and sung for his school choir and arts and music organization. Among his hobbies are biking, singing, writing, programming, and editing.
